Question by smithese: rise in breast/uterine cancer due to "the pill?"?
it's interesting bcuz when the pill came out in the 50s and popularized in the 60s, it was crude and untested for serious long -term side effects. well we have seen a rise in cancer in females in their 40s-60s, who during and after the "summers of love" took the pill on a regular basis.
so is it any wonder why baby boomer women have what appears to be a higher rate of cancers than their forebears?
or is there more to it, what with increased pollution and stress in women's lives post-war and on, that could play a big factor.
what do you think?

I know that for women who take HRT there is an increased risk for breast cancer. I have not heard of any statistics
about elevated cancer risk for pill takers but you will see that on most b/c pills there is a warning. If you want statistics I am sure you can get them either at the national cancer organization or at the government statistics bureau.
